Palm species susceptible to Phytoplasma Diseases

(Lethal Yellowing and Texas Phoenix Palm Decline)

The most common and susceptible palms in our landscape are the Coconut Palm, Adonidia (Christmas) Palm, Canary Island Date Palm, Dactylifera (Medjool) Date Palm and the Sylvester Date Palm.

 

Recently, several new species of palms  have tested positive for phytoplasmas including the Queen Palm and Sabal Palm.
