Areas affected by Phytoplasma Disease

Florida Counties affected by Phytoplasma Disease (Lethal Yellowing and Texas Phoenix Decline)are primarily relegated to the lower 1/3 of the state and include the following: Brevard, Broward, Collier, Charlotte, Glades, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, St. Lucie.

 

Please Note: This list may not be complete as the disease is now infecting palms previously not known to be susceptible and in areas where the disease previously was not present.

 

Lethal Yellowing and Texas Phoenix Palm Decline can also be found in:

Texas, The Bahamas, The Caribbean (Turks and Caicos, Jamaica, Nevis, ...), Central America (Belize, Honduras, ...), Africa, and Sri Lanka.

 

 

Counties highlighted in yellow have had positive cases of Phytoplasma Disease. Other counties, especially those bordering infecting ones may have Phytoplasma Disease also.
